Addiction recovery is a time of healing and a time to focus on the self: but recovery, learning how to live a sober life, is not simple. The transition from addiction treatment to home life and work is not easy.
Often people need additional support in healing from the impact of alcohol or substance abuse during a difficult time. Others need help to create a change in the way they respond to all that is going on in their life, to the obstacles that pose a threat to their serenity and wellbeing. Some people might just like to spend some time with like-minded people, and relax in a safe, supportive, warm holiday environment, to discover that the road to recovery can also be fun and enjoyable!
This why the Vellaneta estate, at a short distance from Urbino, in the Marche region, and Gubbio, in Umbria, could be your perfect getaway for a sober holiday! Here you can strengthen your recovery, as well as relax, have a great time and explore the beautiful surroundings!
Focus on lasting change
Over the days you will gain clarity and focus for lasting change: lifestyle change, health, relationship and career purposes, while participating in individual or small group meetings in a private and secure support setting in a program that meets each person’s own needs and preferences, strengths and resources. Together we will look at triggers, cravings and how to deal with them in future, your resources and coping skills, and how to see obstacles in a new light. We will explore your capacity to set healthy boundaries, clear communication, manage negative thoughts, and the positive feeling state connected to the substance or behaviour (and the adverse experience lying underneath).
But during the day there will also be lots of time to relax, enjoy the pool, go on a trip, go hiking or sign up for yoga class, a cooking class, a ceramics class or any other pleasant activity that the estate may offer!
The Vellaneta Estate
All our guests have at their disposal a spacious, well furnished salon on the ground floor, with a library, a piano, a fireplace and several cosy angles to relax or read, a dining table for cool evenings. The salon leads to a wide veranda, that offers a magnificent view of the mountains and the garden.
Towards evening it is the perfect place to watch a beautiful sunset. There is also a panoramic swimming pool with a solar shower, a jeu-de-boule (pétanque), an archery field, free WI-FI, and a laundry room for washing and ironing, a parking place.

Apartment Aurora
In the apartment Aurora with private veranda and garden you can enjoy the morning sun, its colours are lavender and light green.
Apartment Mezzogiorno
The apartment Mezzogiorno is the coolest apartment, perfect for hot summer days, and somewhat larger than the other two, with private veranda and garden view. It catches the midday sun, and its colours are lavender and pink.
Apartment Tramonto
The apartment Tramonto with private veranda and garden view will give you the afternoon and evening sun, and its colours are deep lavender with yellow.
Apartment Le Avellane
This apartment is situated at the ground floor of the main house, with a spacious living/kitchen, a large bedroom with a super kingsize bed, a bathroom and private terrace and garden.
